Pottery Workshop at Wood Studio, Bristol

Depending on what type of group you have, I can hold workshops to up to 8 people in my studio at Clifton Wood Road BS8 4TW.
 
I'll be teaching a beginner-intermediate pottery workshop to make your own stoneware planter pot, using a slab-building technique.
 
Slab building is a technique where you roll out pieces of clay and fit them together to make a structure. I like to think it's something inbetween making a pie and origami!
 
We will be exploring different textures in the clay - imprinting flowers, cut out shapes, leaves, stamps into the clay to make your own unique planter or whatever you like. The outcome is really beautiful and they are much easier to make than using a pottery wheel. Each session will last 2.5 hours.
 
Perfect for birthday parties, hen parties or just to get creative with your friends. This can be BYOB, it's completely up to you, or bring your own snacks :) 
 
After making your pot, I will let it dry out for 2 weeks and then fire and glaze the pots.
 
If you need to cancel, we can arrange a new date or refund if you leave 2 days notice. If it's within the 2 days I can only give a 50% refund, or depending on dates I can try to rearrange.
