Scalloped Oval Platter With Purple Splash Glaze

An oval shaped serving platter, perfect for displaying food and hosting. 

The platter shows a contrast of textures, with the raw clay exposed. As this is made from stoneware clay which is waterproof without a glaze, this is still food safe.

My ceramics are made in small batches in my studio. I make my ceramics using the best quality materials, using stoneware clay and making my slips and glazes from scratch. As they are handmade like this, each one is unique, has its own charm and not one is exactly the same. Because of this, they could appear to have small differences from the image shown. I do try to recreate the size, colour, pattern and shape to my best ability.

Please note - from the method I make and fire my ceramics I do not glaze the bottom of my ceramics, they have a smooth unglazed base. This is dishwasher proof and microwavable, but just be wary that the scalloped rim is especially fragile.
